This privacy statement relates to the processing of your personal data by Think Pink Europe during all interactions with us, for example when you visit our website, use our services, participate at an event, subscribe to our newsletters, contact our employees, and so on.

Think Pink Europe values your privacy. We process the personal data obtained in accordance with the principles governing the processing of personal data and the obligations imposed by the European Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46 / EC, also known as the "General Data Protection Regulation" ("GDPR").

Think Pink Europe thus processes the personal data obtained, taking into account the principles that every data processing must comply with, in particular

a) The personal data are processed in a manner that is lawful, fair and transparent with regard to the data subject ('legality, fairness and transparency');

b) The personal data are only collected for specific, explicitly described and justified purposes. Think Pink Europe does not further process them in a manner incompatible with those purposes ('purpose limitation');

c) Personal data must be adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the purposes for which they are processed ('minimum data processing');

d) The personal data must be correct and, if necessary, updated; Think Pink Europe takes all reasonable measures to immediately delete or correct the personal data that are incorrect, having regard to the purposes for which they are processed ('accuracy');

What personal data are stored?

By personal data we mean data that relate to an identifiable person. These data are passed on to us when, for example, you fill out a form on the website, through the use of our products and services, or through the use of an application on this website. All data that we collect can be combined to better tailor our offers and services to your personal needs.

Who is responsible for these data?

Vzw Think Pink Europe, with its registered office at Northlaan 13 A, 8400 Ostend, Belgium, and registered with the CBE under the number BE0693.907.514 (hereinafter Think Pink Europe) is responsible for the processing of your personal data. The following person has been appointed within our company to guarantee this data protection;

How are these data protected?

We do everything in our power to protect your personal data and privacy, both in our offices, on our network and on relocation. Our employees handle your confidential information with great care. With extra sensitive data we take extra measures.

  • security with strong passwords that are only used in one or in a few specific applications
  • sending form data via HTTPS
  • sound, updated firewalls at both our offices and at the hosting providers
  • sound, updated servers at both our offices and at the hosting providers
  • intrusion detection software on the firewalls
  • only employees who need your personal information to properly perform their duties have access to your data
  • recent hardware with updated firmware
  • physically secured office with alarm system
What if personal data are breached?

In the event of a data leak with unfavourable consequences for your personal data, you will be personally notified - within 72 hours after we have become aware of the breach - in the circumstances provided for by law.

The hosting provider’s servers

The hosting provider has the ISO 27001: 2013 standard, which originated from the "Code of Practice for Information Security Management" (BS7799). This refers to a management system specifically for information security (Information Security Management System ISMS) and specifies how you can demonstrably manage security risks. As an ISMS interpretation, the ISO 27001: 2013 standard specifies that you define a scope and policy, perform a risk analysis, select measures for the identified risks, implement and manage (allocate resources) and finally (cyclically) monitor and review the above.

Where are these data stored?

The data centres are physically housed in Ostend. Our internal systems are located at our registered office (Northlaan 13 A, 8400 Ostend, Belgium) and at our logistics office (Ter Zwaanhoek 34, 8400 Oostende).

How long are these data stored?

These data are stored for an indefinite period of time.

For what purposes are these data used?

The use of the various personal data depends on application to application.For the Race for the Cure data, the personal data will be used for contacting participants and informing them about the activities of Think Pink Europe and the national breast cancer charity they have supported.

Are cookies stored as well?

Identification cookies are used to identify visitors to use the website management application. Functional cookies ensure that the website works properly. For example, they help you remember your login information or language preference. Only the administrator has access to these data in order to be able to identify potential problems.

Analytical cookies allow us to analyse our website. This way, we know how many visitors our site has, how long they surf, what they click on, which parts are popular or what needs to be clarified ... At the same time, we can see what problems visitors encounter. This way, we can improve our website. We also use third-party cookies such as Google Analytics for this. The generated information about usage behaviour on our websites is collected and transferred to and by Google, where it is stored on servers in the United States.
